The 2nd Physics Institute focuses research on nanophotonics and DNA nanotechnology. By utilizing DNA-origami and nanophotonic structures, we aim to the construction of nanofactories, in which artificial nanomachines can be built and coordinated in order and work in concert, in direct resemblance to biological systems in nature.
